David Bornstein
David Bornstein tells compelling stories about how, with determination and innovation, individuals and organizations around the globe are achieving massive and meaningful changes through social entrepreneurship. In his most recent book, How to Change The World: Social Entrepreneurs and the Power of New Ideas, he tells the stories of people around the globe who are solving many of the world's most intractable problems. A journalist by training, Bornstein is also the author of an acclaimed book on the micro-credit movement, The Price of a Dream, and has written for and been written about in The Atlantic Monthly, The New York Times, The Wall street Journal, the Oxford University Press, & many publications.
Arthur Brooks
Arthur C. Brooks is Professor of Public Administration and Director of the Nonprofit Studies Program at Syracuse University. Mr. Brooks has published many articles and books on the connections between culture, politics, and economic life in America. He speaks frequently in the U.S., Europe, and Asia, and is a regular contributor to The Wall Street Journal’s editorial page. His latest upcoming book is entitled Social Entrepreneurship: A Modern Approach to Social Value Creation.
David Audretsch
David B. Audretsch is the Ameritech Chair of Economic Development, Director of the Institute for Development Strategies at Indiana University, Director of the Entrepreneurship, Growth and Public Policy Group at the Max Planck Institute in Jena, Germany, and is a Research Fellow of the Centre for Economic Policy Research.
Audretsch's research has focused on the links between entrepreneurship, government policy, innovation, economic development and global competitiveness. He has consulted with the World Bank, National Academy of Sciences, U.S. State Department, United States Federal Trade Commission, the United Nations, Commission of the European Union, the European Parliament, the OECD, as well as many others. He was awarded the 2001 International Award for Entrepreneurship and Small Business Research by the Swedish Foundation for Small Business Research. His most recent book, The Entrepreneurial Society was just published in July 2007 by Oxford University Press.
